Is it possible to have an antibacterial parquet? In a period in which the hygiene and safety of surfaces have become a priority also in our homes, the sanitizing paint Silver Defense, designed and developed by Renner Italia, becomes a perfect solution to protect our parquet from germs and bacteria.

It is a water-based or solvent-based finishing additive made up of silver ions, capable of neutralizing 99.9% of microorganisms present on wood in just 24 hours. The silver ions are able to penetrate the cell membrane of the microbe, attack the DNA to prevent its reproduction and suffocate it, preventing it from breathing.

An antibacterial parquet also resists over time! The silver ions are unable to evaporate due to their mineral nature and are encapsulated in a glassy matrix so as not to be removed during normal cleaning operations. In this way, they create a real sanitizing barrier on our parquet, without danger to health and also suitable for contact with food.

The antibacterial parquet with sanitizing paint is ideal for the children's room, the kitchen, the bathroom, but also for environments that require high hygiene standards such as dental offices, swimming pools, saunas, restaurants, bakeries.
